Apply to Join Our Creative Ecosystem

We’re looking for curious, collaborative, and self-motivated individuals to support Beacon’s ongoing editorial work, cultural activations, and experimental events. Internships at Beacon offer hands-on experience in independent publishing, creative direction, fashion production, and community-driven storytelling.

Whether you’re building your portfolio, shifting industries, or just starting out — we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and stages of experience. If you’re excited by culture, identity, aesthetics, and new ways of working, you’ll fit right in.

What to Expect

– Internships are unpaid
– We ask for a 3-month commitment (hours and workload vary)
– Remote internships are welcome, though we’re based in NYC
– All interns are required to sign a standard IP agreement (Beacon retains editorial and commercial rights to all intern-created work)
– You’ll work directly with Beacon’s editorial and creative leads
– Opportunities to contribute to photo shoots, published features, and special projects
– Past interns have gone on to professional roles in fashion, publishing, creative production, and brand strategy

Hear It from an Intern

“As a senior in college, working at Beacon was a rare and formative experience. Every article required a fresh visual approach, which meant constantly shifting creative gears. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and into the unknown — an environment that demanded range, adaptability, and intentionality.”

“What made it all possible was the balance of freedom and guidance that Chacha Sands sustained. I was given real ownership and trust at a young age, which played a huge role in shaping me into the designer I am today.”

“Timelines were intense — I was juggling school, a job, and the internship — but that pressure set a clear expectation for what the creative world would demand. I was treated as a collaborator, not a tool, and it was one of the most creatively rewarding experiences of my college career.”
