Beacon – The Edit Lab Terms of Participation
Parties: Beacon (“Organizer”) and the undersigned participant (“Participant”)
1. Ownership of Work (IP)
All creative work produced during The Edit Lab—including photographs, videos, styling, makeup, modeling, and written content (“Work”)—is the property of Beacon.
License to Participant:
You may share the Work for self-promotion (e.g., portfolio, personal website, social media) with credit to Beacon – The Edit Lab. Selling, licensing, or commercially exploiting the Work requires prior written permission from Beacon.
2. Liability & Assumption of Risk
Participation in The Edit Lab is voluntary. Activities may include working outdoors, in public spaces, or in private venues. Risks may include minor injuries, accidents, weather conditions, or interactions with the public.
By signing, you assume full responsibility for your participation and release Beacon, its partners, affiliates, volunteers, and venues from any claims or damages arising from your involvement.
Personal Belongings: You are responsible for your own equipment, wardrobe, and tools.
3. Media Release
You consent to being photographed and filmed during the event for promotional, editorial, and commercial use by Beacon. This includes use on social media, digital platforms, and print publications, without additional compensation or approval.
4. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to:
Work respectfully and collaborate in good faith.
Treat other participants, organizers, and venues with courtesy and professionalism.
Follow the rules of each location and event guidelines.
Failure to follow these rules may result in disqualification from prizes and/or removal from the event.
